You definitely can’t have an auto show without proper media planning strategies. In most cases, it is less than half of your actual target audience that will show up at the event. Therefore there is the need for press passes to allow media houses especially digital agencies spread the word through press releases, features, vlogs e.tc.
Personally, Geneva Motor show 2017 got it right on point. First, you are welcomed to a huge well-lit auditorium, fully fitted with office equipment; from photocopier machines, printers, hard drives and I will be unfair not to mention the coffee and tea machines accompanied with patisseries that never ran out.
The press center was very receptive, attendants were always ready to assist you and it was helpful for me especially been a first timer. There was a storage facility provided for media personnel to hang their coats and keep their equipment while they gather stories around.
I was really impressed with the effort the organizers put in for the show, no wonder i sat in with media giants like Reuters, CNN, BBC and many others.
